Thank you for joining us
Last Saturday, we presented an afternoon archive sale for Sachraga. The space held a blend of clothing, art, and design — all anchored in Composition’s ongoing interest in editorial storytelling as an exhibition.
Whether you stayed for the full afternoon or passed through, your presence helped shape the atmosphere. Below, we’re highlighting the artists and galleries whose collaboration helped the event happen.
Featured Artists and Galleries
Sachraga
The main showcase of the event was Sachraga, founded by Matte Bartow. The brand is a minimalist clothing line that features an intentional selection of fabrics and textures that are not commonly found in the current fashion landscape. With classic silhouettes and muted colors, Sachraga’s pieces draw inspiration from the industrial design and architecture of the past and are easily wearable in daily life.

Ruben Burgess Jr.
Ruben helped bring Sachraga’s pieces to life in the form of artistic installations that expanded Sachraga’s vision beyond the pieces themselves. His creative touches added depth to the space while continuing the focus on fabric and materials that were being sold at the event.

Novu NYC
At the event, we showcased clothing racks as well as a black leather Soriana designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1969 from Novu’s New York showroom. Novu’s contribution to the event helped us create a space that invited customers to stay and congregate as the event took place.

Steppe NYC
Steppe Gallery in Brooklyn, founded by Miles Kohrman and Stefan Klecheski, contributed two Series 8600 chairs by Hans Ullrich Bitsch from the 1980s, as well as a USM Haller side table, to sit opposite the Soriana sofa in the space. Both of these pieces are available for sale on their website. These chairs perfectly captured Sachraga’s vision and expanded on the space we created for customers to spend time and enjoy conversation, beyond just shopping.

Cafe Studio
Cafe Studio in SoHo, founded by Shu Tan and Alvin Kean Wong, hosted the event for the day. The space is a minimalistic studio with concrete accents and decoration that perfectly supports the design of the room. Shu’s professional interior styling expertise is showcased throughout the perimeter of the showroom, which gives the space a more inviting feel than the average studio space. We chose this venue, as we felt its minimalist nature was perfect for creating the expanded world we wanted to build around Sachraga’s visual identity.
